for laser eye surgery consultation.........so nervous and scared but I have been wearing glasses and now contacts since the 3rd grade. I literally walk into walls if I don't have anything on so I think I should go ahead and bite the bullet.......

i've heard nothing but good things about it!
one thing: if you have large pupils (like I do) you can get 'halos' around lights at night so it's harder to drive. My gf experienced that and now she's paranoid and won't drive at night.

i've had it and i LOVE it ... took me over a year to get used to not needing glasses
the procedure itself is very fast (like 30 seconds per eye) and painless. only 'bad' thing is that you're awake the entire time so it's nerve-wracking.

i had it in Nov '05. I love it, dont regret it BUT I have chronic dry eye syndrome now b/c of the procedure an d my eyes are almost always blood shot. Now i'm def not trying to sway you b/c even if I knew what my out come was, I still would have done it. Also everyone is different my brother had it done in '99 and never had a problem.

FMIL and FH's godfather both had it done about two years ago... the only thing they 'complained' about was the smell.. they say it smells like burning skin. FMIL wore the 'protective' glasses for about a month and sometimes squints her eyes, while FHsGF still wears his protective glasses when outside and hasn't had a problem at all. they went to the same doctor about a month apart.

I had it in 07 and LOVE IT. Wished I did it sooner! Have a fantastic surgeon suggestion who has offices in NYC and Westchester if you need it.

Go to Dr. Donnenfeld..he is amazing. He is part of a team of doctors who work to improve laser eye surgery technology and he teaches other doctors too. My eyes are really bad and I don't trust any other doctor but him! Here's the link with his info..
