Just my luck!!

So i decided to get back on wedding track and thought it would be a good idea to start with florists....i went to 3 places and all 3 places where closed today!

....what am i supposed to ask when I go look at florists??

Make sure you have lots of pictures of styles you like, flowers you like, what kind of colors.
An estimate of how many tables you will have
high or low cps?
How many people in your bp etc.

That way each visit dosent take all day!! ( I learned the hard way!!)


You can ask how many weddings they do in an average weekend??
prices, if you want tall cp's ask what type of bases they carry - ( I had to cancel with my first florist b/c I changed my mind about the base of the cp and they didnt have many other options for me to choose from)

No problem!! I also really recommend picking up a book that the Knot makes on wedding flowers. I have it even if you want to borrow it and send it back.

I read up on all the different flowers that were in season for my time of year, the meaning , what colors they came in, average price etc.

That way when I walked in and they would talk about a flower I understood fully.
Also when they would describe a flower to me and I already knew the name and a little about it they seemed really impressed.
I think it is always better to walk in knowing a little about what you will be talking about so they don't think they can take advantage of you!
Let them know you did your homework

I had no idea what I wanted but they really helped me at the florist. Even looking at pictures of flowers didn't help.

Same here, i only knew i wanted calla lillies for the bo-k.. A good florist should be able to help you even if you have no idea what you want...
