Just need to vent a little-very long
Hi, all, Just feeling a little blue today because of a couple of things and wanted to vent. We are still not sure if maid of honor is going to make wedding(which I can't believe is a month away)and now it's starting to stress me. It's a long story but she's trying to get here, but it doesn't look good at this point. I finally just convinced her to let me order her dress & shoes at least, so if she does make it, they will be ready & waiting. Now, if she can't make it, the only other person I would want to do it is my expectant bridesmaid and I don't want to put her under any more stress-she's nervous enough that she won't make wedding. Then, we have the sister situation. My sister has been going through a really bad time for awhile now(long story), but we are now talking again, etc. I told her she is more than welcome at wedding, but she may just come to church. And, my stepsister from Texas can't come because she has to start her cert. program the next morning. Guess everything's hitting me now because it's so close and I'm starting to think more. Thanks for listening!!

Try to make the best of it. Like my fiance always says 'Everything will work out.' When are you getting married? I'm April 20th. Lisa

We are always here to listen
I am so sorry that all of these people are unable to make the wedding. It is hard because you want them to share your day with you. Perhaps you could ask your Mom to stand-in for your MOH. I am sure she would be honored to do so and she understands what is going on. OR if you are looking to develop a better relationship with your sister maybe now is a good time. Can you SIL take a late flight home the night of the wedding? That way she could still come, or perhaps speak with the instruction about a make-up class. No matter who is NOT there try to concentrate on who IS there. And if your MOH doesn't make it, call her in the limo after the ceremony or have someone hold up their cell phone when you say your vows. I am sure she will be thinking of you all day!

Just need to vent a little-very long
Hey SpringBride...don't let it get to you. Remember, the blessing here is that you ARE getting married to a man you love, all the other stuff is fluff. Could your mom be a good backup maid of honor? If not, his mom. I'm just trying to think of someone who will be definite and won't feel like 'second pickins!'

Just need to vent a little-very long
I was having a Maid of Honor and a Matron of Honor. Well now my Maid of Honor isn't coming and some close friends from out of state can't either. As everyone else said it will work out for the best in the end. I got stuck with an extra bridesmaid dress that I paid for so I wouldn't buy the dress and shoes. If she can't come tell her if she does she can just be a guest. This will relieve alittle of your stress. Relax and take a deep breath, you are getting married soon!! Good luck! :)

After all is said and done the important thing to remember is you will be married to the man you love. Try not to let the MOH issue strees you out too much. Assigning the title MOH is important bu all you really need is a witness to sign the license. Of course you want someone you love to stand up with you but I am sure if you think about it there are a lot of people in your life that could fulfill that role.
