Some days I am okay with it and try to not make a big deal over it but today, I hate them. Why don't my pics have any fall backdrops? Why are there only a few of DH and I actually next to each other??? Uggh....I just can't bring myself to do the day after I don't think....I don't even want to go through all of them again, I felt like it was such a disappointment....

You know... I haven't even gotten my proofs back yet and I'm already worrying about whether they turned out okay. It's such nervous anticipation. I know the photographer didn't get a close up of my shoes or rings, and I really want one of the reception table setup so I hope to GOD he got those because he sure didn't have time once we got to the reception and started taking group photos. While I loved some aspects of my wedding day and love being married now I can't say it was perfect and there are aspects I really wanted to capture in photos that didn't work out.
This thread makes me nervous!
For girls that didn't like your proofs - did you get a video? Sometimes you'll find video stills can capture moments that the photographer wasn't able to get. It can be good for candids too. I hope you have enough shots you like to make a beautiful album.

Thanks girls...I don't feel so alone at least. I did take some of your advice and look at them again. I liked a few more but you all hit the nail on the head about the non-flattering shots and not enough romance or table pics, etc. My candids were RIDICULOUSLY candid but not even something I would print out if I were them and there were no table pics and my father's wife weren't in any formal shots!!! The only shot of me in the car before going in looks like I am absolutely miserable!! Jeesh....That being said, I am trying to just remember the big picture and that it was a beautiful day and I have the most amazing husband in the world.
When I scan some, I will post.
Also, Kara, your pictures make me want to jump up and down they are so beautiful!!!! I am thinking about doing the day after shoot just to get some more romantic ones of DH and I, there were practically none....

I really am sorry that you girls feel this way. Although I haven't gotten married yet, I think we are our own worst critic. We may like others' pics, but when it comes time for ours, we're so critical. I don't know how critical I'll be of mine, but I do know that I'm already sweating it.
