FH is on my poo-poo list. He wanted to go to city hall and out to dinner and call it a day. The 'wedding' is for me. His family is not supportive of my 'bourgeois' style. I mean how dare i want a wedding with a big ol dress and nice recepetion? The audacity of me to get a dj & videographer, how dare i want to preserve this day??!! So he's on board with me, but every once in a while he refers to our wedding as 'just ONE day' we are spending all this money from. now dont get me wrong, we dont come from money, and are def spending close to one years salary, but its worth it to me. i think just hearing that over and over is frustrating!!! -- ok thanks for letting me vent :)

i DO intend to wear my dress over and over, lol, esp to all his family weddings! he gets in his moods and i dont help by being explosive. i just told him he knew what he was getting into. ahhh the life of a bride to be!

Yes it's a lot of money for just one day, but that is why it is only supposed to happen ONCE. It's a very big deal.

Wow, some people just suck. I'd not invite them. If they are so against it, then they shouldn't be going. Maybe say that to them and they'll shut up. If you did a quickie city hall thing would they be there anyway?

My FH can be the same way sometimes. I really think he just doesn't get it sometimes. Im not sure that he realizes what a big deal this is to me and our families.

i'm actually the one that usually feels that way, but i acknowledge that fact that FH and I are now each other's primary family. this day is kind of a big deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry. FH's mom always has to talk about her wedding and how she only wanted a backyard wedding and her mom made her have it at a restaurant. Like trying to say that fh and I shouldn't have a nice wedding. I just ignore her. In fact I pretty much ignore everything she says bc everything she says makes me mad. lol hang in there.
