just out of curiosity...what parts of NJ are good?
I have been looking online at homes in NJ and was curious as to what the good areas are? DH and I are both coastal people, so if we do move, it would have to be within 15-20 minutes of the ocean. i don't like being landlocked...can't explain it. and although I don't WANT to really move, the prices seem a bit better there. Opinions?

I don't know too much about South Jersey or Central. I live more up north but I think counties like Ocean or Monmouth are very close to the beach. I know some towns like Hazlet or Holmdel are very nice and not too far from the beach.

Not sure what your price range is but Hazlet, Holmdel, Red Bank, Middletown, Manalapan, Plumstead, New Egypt are all pretty good areas.
