I agree BUT- is this a word:

would've

It is, right? Becaus if I say that, it actually sounds like would of.
But that's like, verbal. In writing, I am on board there.

VERBALLY it doesn't bother me. If I see it written as 'would of' it pisses me off to a disturbing and unnecessary degree.

That and when people spell ridiculous: rediculous. Unless you're 7.

People say 'would've' and bc of the way it sounds they write 'would of'.
