question about the hoax interview (which, i think it's hysterical that they did that....cracks me up because i fell for it )
during the show, did they interview Johnny Depp? I fell asleep, and when i woke up the next day, ym husband told me that they spoke with him, and he was supposed to be in it, but he got freaked by the director and decided against it.
is that part true?
no, Johnny wasn't interviewed. They said he was supposed to but his publicist said no or something like that.

Re: Just saw the Village...
Wow, I just saw it and thought it was pretty good. Not great, but not bad. I didn't think it was too predictable (I had a feeling something would be 'off' about the towns but I wasn't expecting what they showed us). It wasn't terrifying either, but still pretty scary. I liked it. Still of course it's not as good as Sixth Sense, but WAY WAY better than Unbreakable!!! Signs was OK minus the ending.... so overall M. Night Shamalayan's movies are good, I think. I liked The Village and would recommend it.

OK so I found a website that spoiled the movie. It verified what I thought about the movie. It actaully doesn't sound that bad though!

Re: Just saw the Village...
ohhhh I love those websites so much. I think if he was to sift through them he may find that alot of people did not like this movie as a whole...just parts. It was sooooooo sad but one site called him ' A one trick pony'
I think he marketed it wrong. his trailer bought out alot of horror fans who like myself probably enjoyed it up until he did his twist. Actually the twist was fine but it was anticlimatic for the adreniline rush he had created early in the film. Perhaps he should have called it a thriller or even a love story with a twist but definitely not scary..if you start scary... end scary but dont do it hall-A$$ like he did.
I truely want my money back as did 3/4 of the audience who walked out complaining.

Re: Just saw the Village...
I saw THe Village with FW and we both had the same opinion when it was over....
We liked it. It was good. But we were disappointed. I wanted to be scared a lot more. I thought it had a lot of potential.
Joaquin Phoenix did a good job.
But the twist ending.. just let us down.
If you haven't seen the movie.. wait for it on DVD or video. It's not worth the $9.25.

Re: Just saw the Village...
Saw it Sat and thought it was pretty good....I thought it had several good twists and there were some scary parts. Of course, now that M Night has labeled himself as the twist director, you are always looking for that. I think its hard to shock people when they are always looking for a twist.
Still, I think it was better that Signs and Unbreakable, and if The Village came out before The Sixth Sense, people may have liked it even better. I like M Night and his cameo was great.
