if you are allowed to have a runner. Stewart Manor Country Club does not allow them. They are afraid people will fall. So before you DIYers start to make them just check first!

that and rose petals or anything tossed or thrown...it's just better to NOT do them if they say no...you won't get as frustrated trying to figure out how to sneak it in and that will make your planning smoother!

My church doesn't allow the throwing of things but it's ok b/c we don't have to think about clean-up!

This is what SMCC told me. If you have the runner outside on the grass they have had incedents where the heel of the shoe has gone through and someone tripped and hurt themselves. They also said they didnt' want it on the inside bc they feel it would be too slippery. They do let you use as many pedals and flowers as you like. So I plan on making a runner out of silk petals!
