My FH gets the consumer reports magazine and I noticed that the Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary edition was #1 and priced almost 300 less than the one I registered for. So, I changed it.
What vacuum did you guys register for?

I want the Dyson...I wasn't going to put it on my registery until my Boss like yelled at me that I should put it on there b/c you never know...If I don't get it I don't care...but I looove looove the Dyson! LOL

The Dyson was the one I had on there for over 500 bucks and I doubted I would get it. The Dyson DC17 Absolute Animal was rated 13. I couldn't believe it.

i gotta tell you all i used to work in home depot i got to use a dyson all the time and i was not at all impressed. for the price i would expect much better preformance.
we have the Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet Vac on ours it's only $169 so its reasonable.

I check consumer reports as well and Dyson isn't even close to the top
I wanted a cannister and Kenmore is rated #1 but I'm not registering at sears so I went with #2 the Electrolux Oxygen which was $500 at fortunoff...I noticed today it was bought..I think their 25% off sale helped that...didn't think I was going to get that either.

I have mostly wooden floors but I know my grandma will buy my vacuum cleaner since she bought my sister's. My mom swears by Oreck and I've heard awesome things about Electrolux... anyone have a recommendation for either?
