just when i thought it was over...

My sister is no longer my MOH, and my own mother is sticking up for her.

This is such a nightmare and it shouldn't be.

What's wrong with Mom??!?! Shouldn't she be trying to keep the peace??

What happened with your Dad?

That's awful. Why would they act that way?

Re: just when i thought it was over...

long story short, my sister cursed me out on facebook (so mature), so I fired back, told her Im done, shes out of planning and at this rate out of the wedding (of course said in rage), mom calls, tells me 'im unbelieveable' and that the 'two of us should grow up' and that 'i was not too far from what my sister is doing'

dad hasn't spoken to me, probably doesn't want to get involved.

they always stick up for her, its been like that my whole life. i dont understand where im wrong to feel a little worried that my sister doesnt care. she lies about contacting people, she's not returning phone calls after i thought we had an understanding yesterday of everything.

and it's all about 'tradition'...um well if u wanna talk tradition, my parents should be paying for everything, i could just as easily throw that up but i dont. i feel like i get no help from anyone, other than what they think I should do.

i know i know, its my day, my opinions, ignore it. there's only so much i can ignore before it effects other things.

i understand ..... we all do!

you need to figure out if you want your sis to be part of the wedding or not though .... or maybe ask her what she prefers ... be the bigger person and just be nice, if only to get everyone to shut up.

is it too late to just have her be a BM?

just tell her you still want here there...still love her..yadda yadda....but you just think someone else will better serve the role of MOH...

and if comments are still on facebook - DELETE THEM!!!! you dont need that!

I know this may sound annoying, but you might have to cow down and talk to your sis (maybe do this with your mom around).

Tell her you're sorry for lashing out at her and you want her to be a part of your day. At this point, you don't feel as though she can handle the responsibility of being your maid of honor due to her circumstances and that's ok, but do not throw that in your face, you're just trying to help her!

see that's the thing, she things my friends are stepping on her toes...and my FSIL called me, whose also in the bridal party and told me she will call her and find out what shes done, and if its a problem, let her and my friend take over the planning and they will give her a task.

thats all i wanted! everyone to work togther, thats what a BP is for, right??? my FSIL mentioned that she knows my sister is inexperiences, while she has been in bridal parties 800 times in her life.

...and its hard to cow down when you're menstruating. lol. no really, i bet if i didn't have my period, my rage wouldn't come out as much.

hahaha i know right?

but really, i shouldnt be crying over this.

i should cry if my dress gets messed up or my photographer shows up late, or something legitimate, not my sister who seems to value her social life drama over my wedding that she was given the responsiblity of.
