Just when you think you saved some cash.....

your car needs repairs! My car wouldn't start yesterday, so I had to get it towed to the shop. Was fixed for $260. This morning the 'check engine' light came on so I brought it back. It needs other stuff and will cost $367.00!

I just cried on the phone to FH, because I'm taking $$ out of my 'wedding' account to pay for it. He's telling me not to be upset, but I certainly didn't see this expense coming. I know you should always plan for the unexpected, but I haven't.

I'm so upset girls....

I am so sorry you are going through this...Unfortunately, there are things that will come up that you can't predict...Car repairs is one of them! It hurts to have to spend the money on the car, but you need one to get around to do the wedding planning

Don't worry honey that's always the way it goes .....I had to take 6,000 Out of my wedding fund to pay off some school loans so they would give me my diploma! That killed but I got a 2nd job and payed it back

I'm so sorry to hear that!! It stinks when you see the $$ you worked so hard to save for the wedding go towards something else....

Yea, I know exactly what you mean! My FI Tahoe needed a new radiator and we had to cough up $700 and now it has a small oil leak we're ignoring. Plus he needs his brakes fixed, but it's better than having to buy a whole new truck. And my car is due for inspection and I'm afraid of what they're gonna say I need repaired. But hang in there, it'll be ok!!

Awwww....I'm so sorry Michele.

But unfortunately there are things we can not control. I know how you are feeling. My FH just called me a lil while ago to tell me he has to pay 400 for a gas pump which he has to get done since it is work truck. There is always something. Hang in there.

Girl i know exactly what you are going through....I have been very good with my Wedding account and paid off my bills except one and i have to do my inspection tomorrow and just my luck my car is giving me problems on top of that. Repairs may go to more than $700

I know what that feeling is like... I was driving a really old car until last year, when in 2 months I spent over $3000 and the car needed more! I feel your pain!

Just happened to me yesterday. My car wouldnt pass inspection bc i needed new brakes and tires. PS-$665.00

I hear ya! in January I was so excited bcI was able to save some $$ after finishing up holiday shoppinmg but of course, my passenger side mirror cracks (i still don't know how)

I just went through the same thing. It was the starter and it started off the mechanic telling me it was just the battery cable$24 then after I figured great finally I dont have to lay out an arm and a leg the car wouldnt start again and when I brought it back it was the starter another $285, then when I went to pick it up they wanted to charge me $477 because they replaced another wire and cable, got away with that because they changed it without getting an okay and I didnt have enough on me to pay for it. Also helped because FH started a scene in front of tons of people behind us in line

I feel for you too. I was doing so well saving and then some dumba$$ blew a stop sign and hit into me, I had to pay $500 deductible. I'll eventually get 80% back but it will probably take a year....

hang in, everything will work out. it always does!
