just when you think your FMIL can't be any more crazy....(long vent)
She decided to play 20 questions (about every vendor) about the wedding in the car last night (on the long drive back from Penn State)....she informs me that she has found a salon to do their hair and makeup (she and FSIL)...um???? I am not even having my make up done...so it kind of hurts my feelings that they will have a 'pro' doing it and I'm the BRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I try to point out that the lady doing everyone's hair will do a great job and that I think it will work best if we all use the same person BECAUSE we will need to drive to the swan club together.....AND we will be getting ready in HER house!!! PLUS my dress will need to be transported in her car (a super-long suburban) to avoid wrinkles (and we all are pretty much 'carvaning' over to the swan club....have to be there BY 9...her appt is in plainview at 8am for 2 people on a Sunday morning....she has seen this woman ONCE and she just got her hair colored...not even cut, so she doesn't even really know how good she is!!! Not to mention she tells me that FSIL will just want her hair 'blown out' and straight...why are you paying for this???? another BM can do her hair FOR FREE. (between my pro. hairdryer and the 5 flatirons between us, i think someone can do a nice job) ![]()

she then says the following:
well, your dress will be pressed 2 days before the wedding, we'll just pick it up and take it over to the swan club and leave it in the 'dressing room' until the wedding.
i tell her no and that they won't allow it...she says, i'll call them and ask.
i say that even if they would allow it, other brides will be using that room with a giant dress sitting there and she expects it to stay clean and unbothered for essentially 3 days (friday night wedding, saturday day wedding and saturday night wedding)???? not happening. so i simply say that i'd prefer everyone all together to get their hair done...which is true...that way someone can take pics while we're getting ready...even if it is in FMIL's basement! We'll be together and that's what I want....I was really frustrated with her during all of this until she suggested taking the dress to the swan club on friday for a sunday wedding!!! i thought surely i had fallen asleep in the car and was dreaming...but FH's poor driving reminded me I was not, she really said it and really believed that was the solution!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
