Just wondering (with poll)

We have been living together for 3 years.
First 2 years in an apartment in long beach, and this third year in a house in massapequa.

I couldnt imagine living home and him living home. My parents sold our house in summer 2004, but i had the option of me and FH living in an apartment with my Dad.
FH said No way, it was small, and there isnt alot of parking there. So that summer FH and I started apartment hunting. and found a great place!

I definately see the point of waiting til after marriage to move in, But we were both grown adults, at that time, him 22, me 23, and our families were very excited for us. After the wedding, i doubt there will be any adjusting. But you never know.

For all the girls waiting til after the wedding, its such a great experience, and soon enough it will be here!!!

WE HAVE BEEN LIVING TOGETHER FOR OVER 4 YEARS

no we don't live together but spend most nights at eachothers house.

Not sure what were gonna do though bc we keep trying to decide lol...FH got a promotion a few months ago as project engineer, in charge of all jobs for his company in LI, but now he might actually do that position in the city so we don't know.

Then recently we talked about staying in an apartment in queens, i own an apartment, and my dad also owns 2 apartments, and one is being renovated now and i might take that one and take over the payments, which for now i want to stay in queens

so who knows what will happen

we've been living together for over a year.

we lived together once before, years ago, for six months and it wasn't working and we broke up for a little bit after that...so it was important for us to live together to make sure we could w/o killing each other!!

jeannette you live with his parents in their upstairs apt or with your parents in their upstairs apt? I am just curious to see how it is working out. when FH gets back from japan we move in together in the apt upstairs in his parents house.

but this month that FH is home i am pretty much sleeping at his house the whole time. and his grandmother did my laundry the other day. i kinda flipped on fh i felt bad...because she shrank my fav pair of jean capris!!! and also i dont need his grandma seeing my undies

but she lives with his family- obviously in the main part of the house but there is an enterance to our apt through outside and through the house so she sneaks up there through the house! i told fh that we should get new locks! i dont really need her coming into our apt when we are at work and already MARRIED switching things around, cleaning, washing etc....

no she is soooo CUTE dont get me wrong and I love her. but sometimes she just goes above and beyond. and that is the main reason FH's brother moved out and bought a house because his fiance (now his wife) couldnt take it anymore haha

FH and I were best friends for years before we started seriously dating, so as soon as we knew we wanted to be together, we moved in together within a month or 2. Then we bought our house 6 months later!

I do too! I have the best relationship with my mom and step dad and am going to be sad leaving : ( I am sooo excited about moving in with FH though....we bought a house in the same neighborhood as both of our parents, since we both have such a great relationship with our families...I am looking forward to big family parties and dinners weekly, since we are all close and it will be convenient.

We are renovating our house..once it is done we'll move in....but, we are going to wait as long as we can.

we both live at home with our parents which stinks BUT not much time left now! yay

if i moved out - my parents would be heartbroken- and that would break my heart so i could never do that to them.

FILs thought we should move in together before getting married BUT they respect my parents' views also

We don't live together.

We plan on buying a house about 6 months before the wedding (so we can renovate it before we move in)...

i actually 'moved in' with him and his mom 2 years ago this july. BUT i didn't do it on purpose. I'd hurt my back at his house and couldnt move so i spent the night there and wound up going to the DR the next day. I'd herniated a disc playing with one of his cats! So the Dr put me on bed rest but I don't do well in the heat so since my FH lived upstairs in his house and it had an AC and the Bathroom only ten feet away plus a fridge in the room it made more sense for me to stay there.
I never left! That is untill we got our own place this March.

You are so lucky to love living at home! I would if i could, but my house isnt such a comforting place, i had to get out.

We don't live together and we will not until we are married. I'm a traditional girl and I live with my parents rent free.

we moved in together about 2 yrs ago and its been great....I like sharing a place with FH.

my take on it...its kind of like a test run for being married.

i HOPE we move in before the wedding bc i want to be settled into his house... (we are getting his house!!!! )

i just hope bc i want to be settled, but ive moved in and out of places a number of times back and forth from undergrad, so im sure if we dont it wont be a HUGE thing..
