Hey Guys, I have found this site super helpful in all of my wedding planning needs. I think the thing that is MOST helpful to me about this site is that it always feels like there is a bride that can answer any question I have...we really all depend on one another. What have you found most helpful this far?

What a nice topic after a drama filled weekend! lol I just like knowing 'im not the only one.' Whether it be family drama, or just indecisiveness when picking stuff out. Sometimes I feel like it looks SO easy when other people plan their day, and when I cant make a decision I am like Sh*t y is this so hard?! But then I come on here and realize I am not the only bride in the world that cant make up her mind! lol

1. I love looking at other people's ideas! Everyone is sooo talented!!!!!
2. Everyone is soooo nice. It doesn't matter if you need a question answer or are just having a rotten day... Everyone on here is here to help! It's great!
3. I like being able to share my ideas and get feedback.
4. And for me, this site really helps me know what is expected at a NY wedding. I live out of state, and this site has really shown me that their are some differences among states for weddings. I really want my guests to feel comfortable, and I don't want to commit any large social faux pos, so it's been really helpful to me.

I'm happy u posted this because I owe so much to all of you ladies. You helped me plan so much of my wedding, educated me on questions to ask vendors, and even enlightened me on 2 vendors I booked for my wedding. I don't like to share a lot of personal info on the www because of lurkers, but I owe you all so much! I love that I found a place where there are women I can relate to, women that can be happy for me with no strings attached, no jealousy and it makes all of this so much easier! So thank u to every bride past present and future that helped me! I couldn't have planned this without u!!!

i would say all of the photos of other peoples weddings/showers/e-parties/ideas
also, all of the vendor advice-i love my florist, but were it not for this site i never would have known about her

I thank God that there were girls on here telling me where to look for our hall.. I mean 17 places to find it! And I love the fact that even after the drama that went down last night... I had girls FM'ing me saying they had my back... I mean I don't even KNOW the girls and they are there for me... I think that's amazing!

My most valued LIW take-away is honest feedback and advice! I find that in real life good friends often tell you what you want to hear and not their opinion. Here, LIW-ers give honest feedback so an ugly dress is called out as ugly!

Totally agree...its the support from people you don't know that is so great. You know they will be honest and outright but can be helpful, kind and supportive when needed too.

i always loved just learning about vendors and having true experiences from people about them. when going to a bridal show or seeing a website, you can't gather much from it....seeing their work on another real bride on here made a big difference
however i will say that LIW both helped and hurt my wedding. sometimes there were times i felt my wedding wasn't as 'good' as some others on here...and each time i thought i was done spending $$ , i saw an 'idea' that i wanted to incorporate into the wedding and had to shell out more cash!!
it was such a blessing and a curse at the same time

I like that, in general, the girls here seem to understand each other-particularly as far as weddings go. I feel like there were just things that I did not get until I started planning, and I enjoy having a supportive community behind me, and I enjoy giving back to that community!

ITA!!! I have a lot going on in my life and it helps not feeling so alone. Plus i get to get advice when i need it, that i can then pass on to another bride if she may need it.

I enjoy message boards in general because of the honest opinions. As much as I love my family and friends, I think they're too concerned about hurting my feelings to give me a completely honest opinion.
I also enjoy hearing varying opinions and why people think the way that they do.
