Karen H - make up Q`s

I saw your posting on the vendor board and I will tell you 2 things that the make up person told me: 1) Wear a foundation without SPF in it. For some reason the stuff with SPF doesn`t photograph well. 2) Do not choose a pearlized lipstick as your wedding lipstick. Again, it reflects light poorly. Lastly, my own thought on lipstick. Go with what you feel comfortable with, you do not have to wear darker lipstick. Everyone was insisting to me that I needed a 'darker than usual' lipstick so I didn`t look washed out in the pics and with each lipstick I tried, I felt silly. Dark lipstick is too high maintenance for me. I went with Estee Lauder in 'Mocha Pink' and it was beautiful in the pictures and I felt great all day. And it wasn`t a big mess when I was kissing my husband either like some of the dark lipsticks.

Elizabeth - Thanks!

Thanks for the tips. I'll try your tips with the lipstick when I expirement. I just got my shower pictures back and look like I have a black eye in some, because the shadows under are dark. Gotta work on that!

Elizabeth - who did your makeup?

I used Janet Bari. She came to my home that morning and was excellent. She has a website www.jbari.com if you want to check it out.

Karen H - Dark Circles

Karen...I know a great product that covers dark circles. It's called Touche Eclat Radiant Touch by Yves Saint Laurent. It supposedly reflects the light, and is great to use for photos. I used it for my wedding, and it looked great! It's definitely pricey (about $30), but it was well worth it!
