Mary, if you paid my credit card, you can probably get your $$$ back. Call the CC company and tell them what happened.

How did you pay...b/c if by credit card then you dispute the fees. You can also see if they ordered the stuff for you yet. If they did maybe you can work with the manufacturer at least with the dresses and try and get whatever you can back. What did you order from them.

No, my deposit is gone. My Mom was paying for my dress as a gift and paid with a CHECK. That's my problem. We put a deposit on my little sisters dress a week and a half ago, that was on a credit card - but they were still accepting money then too!

I just found out about this today.

I can't even.

OMG! I am so sorry.
My only suggestion is to maybe call the gown designer and discuss your options with them...

Thank you guys for all the good ideas and good thoughts! Thank goodness I'm not closer to my wedding! Unfortunately though for me, the deposit was paid with a check. I'm just pi$$ed off that they took money two weeks ago when we took my little sister for hers. However, although my dress had been ordered (thank Heaven for small favors!!!) Kay-Ann's didn't send them the deposit. They are going to work with us though, and I'm getting the gown at the price that they would have charged the dress shop. The dress will be sent directly to me. My BM's will have to re-order, however. Most of them paid with a credit card, one did not.

If this is the only thing that goes wrong for my wedding, with 206 days to go, I'll be golden.

Very scary! So sorry for you girls. What kind of people do this? My FSIL was told to pay in full including alterations before ordering. These are just horrible people.

Well at least your dress was order--that was the one favor they did you. Good thing you have the time too to straighten this all out.
