Keep in mind, all Westbury Manor Brides

Original post by mrsj2010

I had actually considered WM at first. My bridesmaid and I went, it was absolutely beautiful. The outside was amazing, with the exotic birds, ponds and all. However, we were lucky enough to go when they were busy so that we could see exactly how it can get in there.

We were highly dissatisfied. First, we were ignored for the first 20-30 min. There were bridal parties mixed up with people coming in from the public to dine at their restaurant. There was just too much going on. People were very busy in the lobby, bumping into each other, stepping on each others dresses.

There was a Korean wedding ceremony going on at the time. The lobby was very loud and distracting, yet the BM and the Maitre' D actually opened up the doors to the ceremony while crying children, the ringing of cell phones and people bickering could be heard as the couple was trying to finish up their ceremony. Upon exiting, my MOH and I were actually in the brides path, along with a bunch of other people who had to do the 'excuse me, pardon me' thing to get out of her way as she exited her ceremony!!!! I was appalled at the service and the commotion affecting her day, and in turn i chose NOT to have mines there for fear of repetition.

The BM admitted to me that this was a rather busy day for them, but I figured if it was that busy on the coldest day in January, it must be worse in the summer on a nice warm day. He assured me that whenever i book, there will be another event going on. Maybe not a wedding, but another event.

Scenery is good. But SERVICE is important..you only get one wedding day..hopefully

this is why i did the considerate thing & visited RH's when there were no weddings going on. I would either go during the week at night or on a weekend very early in the day. i wouldn't want people looking in during my wedding so i didn't do it to them.
