We went looking at apartments this weekend and I really like this one in Lindenhurst. FH is hesitating because he thinks it will be too far away. He works in the city right now, but is looking for work on LI. It has a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Three bedrooms (no attic, so the third would be strictly storage). Our own driveway that fits 2-3 cars. Plus we get the shed and use of the back yard. I told him I want him to decide by tonight. I don't want to let it slip through our fingers!

I'll share what I did when I wanted the four bedroom house in Monroe, NY I got a little pouty and then acted mad at him which I was. This house is so freakin gorgeous. He was hesitant because his basement/caveman hangout wasn't big enough he thought. Needless to say the downpayment is paid and we move in in June. 'the man is the head, but the woman is the neck and she can turn the man's head anyway she wants' (Big Fat Greek Wedding)

pouting works...especially if FH isn't used to it! He won't know what to do with himself!

Hey BJ...then we could be neighbors, it sounds awesome though...I wish we had w/d & dishwasher. Let us know what he decides!!!!!!
BTW I commuted to Manhattan for a year from here & the train is empty in the am b/c we're 2nd stop & its about an hour into the city, not too bad!

It sounds great and I hope all works out for you. But as a fellow commuter I have to be honest.. I can sympathize with the loooong commute your FH will face.
If that's the babylon line then he doesn't have it so bad though.

Hey MrsZG, where in Monroe??? My MOH and my aunt live up there and my brother used to have a house up there also. I almost moved there with him, but I hate the winter, and they get hit a lot harder than we do with snow!!!! (That and the public transportation is almost non existent!)
