Keratin straightening?? **one more question**

Has anyone ever had this done? How long did it last? I usually get my hair Japanese straightened but the last time they fried my hair!!! I don't think I'll do that again, especially with the wedding coming up, but my hair really need to be done soon. TIA

****Thanks to everyone for the info...one more question...how often do you have it done? My wedding is in August so I am trying to time this all out...Thanks again!****

Re: Keratin straightening??

I love japanese straightening but have been banned till after the wedding bc my hair won't hold a curl. Brazillian is a lot more gentle but doesn't last as long and as my hairdresser said don't do either if you want any type of curl for your BIG day.

it lasts about 3 months and will not make your hair pin straight like the Japanese. Its more of a deep conditioner and definitely not a straightener.

Re: Keratin straightening??

I just had my hair Keratin straightened last month for the third time. I absolutely love it. I think it makes my hair really healthy and has definitely helped it grow faster and yes it lasts between 3 and 4 months. I have never done the Japanese straightening but I've been relaxing my hair for about 10 years and the Keratin straightening is much more gentle.
The Keratin straightening definitely doesn't leave your hair pin straight, but makes my hair much easier to blow dry . It also works better on more damaged hair. The best thing though is that it will wash out over time, you don't actually have to wait for your hair to grow out.

Well its not a straightner. Its a smoother. Its 100% chemiacl free and will not damage your hair in any way. It does the opposite. It deeply condtions the hair and removes frizz. Because its chemaical free, the product washes out of your hair as oppose to growing out(roots) like others. As far as how long it lasts, well thats up to you. The better you take care of it and the less you wash it, the better and longer it will last. Its an amazing product and service for your hair

It only lasts 3-4 months so every 3/4 months if you want it to stay like the first day

You should do it now and try it, then if you like it, you can do it again the end of july for wedding

Re: Keratin straightening?? **one more question**

I just did it for the 1st time in January and I am IN LOVE LOVE LOVE with it. I am still able to curl my hair both with a curling iron & naturally. It's more now that I just have to blow dry my hair to get some of the dampness out than the whole process to get it straight. My hair has grown RAPID FIRE since getting it done, it's MUCH MUCH healthier and has a great shine to it!

I am going to do it at the end of May again (if I can last that long!!) But, it's HIGHLY recomended!
