Re: KETTUBAH
I ordered mine from e-ketubah.com about 2 weeks ago, I already got the draft of the wording, have checked it out with the Rabbi and they are mailing it out today so you can probably do it in about 4 weeks.

Re: KETTUBAH
I ordered my Ketubah from a Judaica store and the whole process took about 3-4 weeks. We first had to fill out the form and had the rabbi verify the info. But once we submitted the form the Ketubah arrived in under 3 weeks. But it does depend on how long the artist takes to do it. Do it now, there are so many last minute details, you'll be happy that you have it done. Good Luck

Re: KETTUBAH
LaurenS...what store did you order yours from?
What information do I need to know before buying one?
ABC7077...did the rabbi at Bnai Sholom say anything about the Ketubah? Does it have to be in all Hebrew or can it be Hebrew and English?

Re: KETTUBAH
I got mine at Judaica Plus in Cedarhurst, but Lion Zion in Lake Sucess and the Jewish Museum in NYC has a good selection.
Depending upon which type of Ketubah you get will depend upon the info you will need. We got a reform ketubah with egalitarian text. We needed the hebrew names of bride and groom and the hebrew names of all of our parents. Plus all of the other info like date and location of wedding.

Re: KETTUBAH
Metphan, sorry for the delayed response. We got the Orthodox text number 1 from e-ketubah.com with both the english and the hebrew. He ok'd it today so I assume it was fine. He accepts the orthodox or conservative texts I think. I didn't want a problem so we just went with the orthodox which in English I think was the same as the conservative texts. We chose among the five texts and finally decided on one. It is not the greatest but it will do. If you have any other questions just let me know, we have met with the caterer etc.. and are about 2 1/2 weeks away, pretty scary!!!

Re: KETTUBAH
Metphan one more thing, we only needed our hebrew names, our parent's hebrew names, the date and time and place for our wedding. There were other questions like if we were Kohains, Levites or Israelites but because we had no idea the Rabbi said don't worry about it so we didn't and the ketubah place did not make a big deal about it. We only gave our hebrew names in english translation and they translated it into hebrew and they did a really good job because we found our baby naming certificates and they were identical to our names, pretty good I think!!
