1. Are you getting it custom designed or just using the one the Rabbi is offereing? (Right now we are using the one from the Rabbi)
2. How many people are allowed to sign the ketubah as witnesses?
3. How many people are allowed to be in the room when we are signing the ketubah? Can we have the whole wedding party and our parents?
4. I know they need our Hebrew names but do they need our parents' Hebrew names too?
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

Re: ketubah
We are getting out ketubah custom designed...If you would like the site, just fm me!
If you get the ketubah custom designed, you can add more lines for signatures. If it is provided by the rabbi, I'm assuming that he would provide a very traditional ketubah which has room for the bride and groom, the rabbi, and 2 witnesses. If it's EXTREMELY traditional, it will only have room for the groom, the rabbi, and 2 witnesses.
The number of people allowed in the room while signing is up to the rabbi. Mine is allowing me, my fh, 2 witnesses, and both our parents. I'm pretty sure she would have allowed more had we wanted more.
I forgot the last question so ill continue to post in a sec. haha

Re: ketubah
We ordered our ketubah custom and in the custom ketubahs, it depends on the version of text you select (reformed, conservative, orthodox...and even within those there are options for text). For ours, our parents hebrew names were needed. I would talk to your rabbi if you decide to use his ketubah. If you decide to order yours custom, the website usually tells you the info needed.
hope this all helps!

Re: ketubah
We ordered our ketubah directly from the artist who designed it, Stephanie Caplan. Her website is TheKetubah.com.
The text is done by hebrew hand calligraphy, and then we also had her fill out our information in the same style so it would all match.
Ours was signed by 2 witnesses, our Rabbi and we also added a line for the Priest who co-officiated our ceremony to sign (we are interfaith).
We had our parents, siblings, and whole BP in addition to the witnesses in the room for the signing. As far as I know, there is no limit to the # of people who are there for the signing ... probably depends a little on the size of the room you use .
I think they asked for our parent's hebrew names ... for DH's parents they just used their english names since they aren't jewish.

Re: ketubah
1. We ordered our ketubah from ketubah.com It is absolutely stunning, and it arrived VERY quickly. Pix of it are in my album if you're curious.
2. Witnesses - it actually depends on your Rabbi, and stupidly enough, the number of spaces on the Ketubah you have. My Rabbi told us that we needed 1 person - we chose to have 2. Before you choose your witnesses, definitely speak with your Rabbi because he/she will most likely have certain requirements. Our witnesses had to be Jewish, bar/batmitzvahed adults, not related to either my husband or myself.
3. You can have as many people present as you like. We had our parents, my Grandfather, and most of our bridal party (and obviously our witnesses).
4. Yes, you need to know your parents Hebrew names, and the same goes for your witnesses. Unfortunately our best man couldn't remember his dad's h.n. so he had to make a phone call in the middle of our signing.
