Ketubah at ceremony

Ketubah at ceremony

For those of you having a Ketubah....... how are you going to display it at t he ceremony. Are you going to have it on poster board or mounted onto something somehow.

I know you sign it before hand but I don't want to have it all rolled up the entire night. My rabbi is going to read it during the ceremony. My ceremony is interfaith and we thought it would be a nice touch. But I would hate for him to have to pull it out of the cardboard container and unroll it!!

Any ideas?

I don't think we'll be displaying or reading ours... But perhaps you can purchase a frame for it and have the rabbi read it from the frame?

I wont be displaying mine either. The frame idea sounds good...you may want to put it on an easle or stand so people see it as they walk in.

If I frame it, then we would have to take it out to sign it. Sounds hectic don't you think?

You would have to stick it in a frame after you sign it...so maybe get a temporary frame for the ceremony and then have it done profesionally to hang it in your home.

We won't be displaying ours either, but I think an easel would be your best bet. You could attach it to something like posterboard, but you might want to eventually have it framed after your ceremony & I wouldn't risk ruining it.

We are not framing ours either, just having the ceromony privately before the wedding with the rabbi and the witnesses. Then have the big (Reg. Jewish wedding ceromony) ceromony right afterwards.

Guess I'll have to speak to my rabbi. I don't know how mine is going to go down because it is interfaith. The rabbi basically said the Ketubah is 'worthless' anyway.
