Ketubah Question

Ketubah Question

Silly questions for Jewish brides - were you're Hebrew names written on your Ketubah in Hebrew?

I just got the form back from the Rabbi, and he just wrote down the names I told him (phonetically, I guess). I expected Hebrew - am I wrong?

Ok...now I have a silly question. My FI is Jewish, we are having a Jewish ceremony, however I am not. Now what about my name....I don't think Gina translates well in Hebrew

Re: Ketubah Question

Thanks! That website rocks, but I think I will still go back to the Rabbi for an explaination. I think his exact words were 'When you find a Ketubah, I will help you translate your names to Hebrew'. I didn't need him to fill in the same names that I provided to him!

I don't have a Jewish name. The Rabbi told me to pick one, and by using it that will be my name. I was thinking of using Chaya! My mom wants it to start with a Y, but maybe she should have named me when she had the chance .
