Kiddie Playgrounds around here ?

My nieces come over pretty often (from Queens). IM looking for a playground nearby where they can spend an hour or 2. We went to one that belonged to the Commack schools, but that was before school was in session (i sure dont think we can waltz right in now !). I also know of the one at Hoyt Farm, which is more of a big sandbox !

Anyone know of any others that are in the area here (Commack, Smithtown, St. James, Kings Park areas). I really need the infant swings, the little one LOVES EM !

Thanks !

There's a park in St. James on Moriches Rd., right next to the St. James Nursing Home.

If you're going to the one in St. James, let me know! I'm always at the nursing home (Shady Pines, for those of us who watched The Golden Girls!) visiting my grandmother, so maybe I'll pop in and play with you!

there's a playground in the development across from Commack HS - not sure exactly on what street. I know they have swings, but I don't know about infant swings. Same thing for the park off Stuyvesant (off Morewood) in Smithtown.

Re: Kiddie Playgrounds around here ?

Thanks for the ideas, ladies ! Guess where we went. DH and I found this place by accident when we kinda 'made a wrong turn' (we actually do that all the time just to discover new places in our area, lol) Well we found Crab Meadow Beach in Huntington, and they have the CUTEST playground right on the sand !!! so I went there today with my nieces !!
Jenn that would have been fun if you joined us ! (Sorry I didnt come online in time !) But im sure you were working today. we went around lunch time! Was that really the NH shown in the GG ?

Hey lets get together girls, this baby aint coming anytime soon, lol. Still 1cm ! and no signs of labor yet !
