I am of 'that age' where a good portion of my friends are past the bride stage and onto motherhood. In fact... being a little backwards myself... I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old.
I am not someone who intends to have an elegant affair and I am welcoming children. So far I have counted about about 16 kids... out of 78 people! :)
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can keep the younger set entertained? They range from 2-12!
Thanks!

Re: KIDS
Hire someone to hang out with them (a babysitter).

Re: KIDS
your DJ can maybe do something for them. just a few songs to keep them entertained.
you can buy coloring books and crayons....set up an iced cream bar, that's al I can think of.

Re: KIDS
at our engagement party we had about 30 kids...since we were not inviting them to the wedding we wanted to share at least one special day with them. To occupy them we set up a whole kids station in the back of the room with coloring books, crayons, markers, puzzles, playdoo, we had candy bags for each of them with their names on it to make them personalized. They absolutely LOVED IT! Another thing they really liked...was that we ordered a whole bunch of those giveaways from the oriental trading magazine..like glow in the dark bracelets, necklaces...etc. We had the DJ give them out and the kids loved that as well...and they danced with us all night long. It was really special since I'm very close with my family as well and we happen to have a lot of kids...some I'm glad i got to share this special day with them. They all had a blast and call me us and ask when we are having another party...because they want to come

Re: KIDS
I definately reccommend having a 'kids activity table' like the above poster mentioned. We had one at my e-party as well. To keep it 'wedding themed' you can even look around to see if you can find paper dolls of brides and such.

Re: KIDS
I plan on putting them at their own table. I'm going to cover it with parchment paper and I got crayons, coloring books, stickers etc... I figure they can do some art work.
