do kids as young as 1 and half count as part of your head count for the wedding?

i have a few family members and one friend who had babies this year and by the time of our wedding they will be about 1 and half.

my friend who has the baby is in my wedding party so i cant tell her not to bring the baby and she also will have a 3 yr old by time of wedding. she can choose to bring them or not but i'm not going to tell her not to bring them.

thanks!

They shouldn't.

You might want to ask your hall- for us I know I have to tell them so they can pull high chairs, but they don't warrant a payment. They only charge half for kids over 5. Under 5 are free

Nope they should be free. Children 3-12 are usually 1/2 price, same as vendors if you're having more than a few. They should also offer children a meal they can/will eat. We're serving ravioli to the 3 kids in the bridal party since they're all pasta lovers. Remember kids aren't consuming alcohol, most cocktail items, etc. We're not being charged for our 3 who are 4, 5, 6.

Re: kids

Some of my friends & neighbors that are being invited have young children & plenty of family members. Considering I don't want the wedding to be overpowered by children everywhere & that I am limited on how many, I'm only doing immediate family members. Second cousins aren't on the list, neighbors children, or friends children. When addressing the envelopes I'm going to be putting 'Mr. & Mrs.'

I'm not having children at the wedding. My bridal party each have a child in the wedding but leaving the 14 month old home. I wouldn't want them to bring him, it would prevent them from enjoying
