So one of our friends (we actually haven't seen him in years) texted FH last night to ask if kids are invited to the wedding so they can make arrangements for them if not. I hear so many stories about guests just bringing their kids or just RSVPing for them without asking so I thought I'd share this with you because I thought it was very nice and considerate of him! Let's hope all my other guests are like this!!!!

That's great! It's nice to know there are some nice and considerate people out there.

FH and I seem to be having somewhat of an issue with that. It's actually FH's aunt who wants kids invited to the wedding so we simply told her no kids. We basically told her there will be no one younger than 21 invited but that was before I decided to invite my dad's side of the family where my youngest cousin is 16. And I have cousins who have little kids too and they didn't ask anything like that. But apparently, even though FH's aunt isn't badgering us about it, we heard she got into a fight with my future FIL about it and didn't speak to him for a while. Even my future MIL was like it's your wedding, you stand your ground and don't back down. We were also warned by FH's other aunt, who said this aunt was ruthless with FH's cousins wedding back in December. Thank God we were warned. Now she just says things like well if you have extra room you know...or ...well if you get alot of No's...

I told FH if we get responses with kids names automatically put on them, all hell will break loose lol

We're only having bridal party kids plus my cousin who's coming from out of town. I feel I can't expect either people to leave their children with strangers in a strange state. But this guy lives in the Bronx and I'm sure has plenty of babysitters and he's totally fine with it. I really don't want a romper room in my wedding! As it is we have 7 kids but 2 are the RB & FG (Fh's niece and nephew); 3 are my bridemaid's who is coming from MD. and then the 2 cousins kids who are coming from MA. We'll see what happens but I have no problem calling people and saying kids aren't invited and if they don't come because of that then I don't want them their anyway!
