There is something called a babysitter for peoples kids. People need to get over it. You shouldn't feel guilty

I totally agree. It should be an adult night out, especially if it is an evening reception.

Kids - Long Island Weddings

I worked at a catering hall and I always saw people with kids looking miserable. My friend wants to have a destination wedding and already has friends saying they won't go because they have kids so it's stopping her from doing what she really wants. I told her that if they were really her friends, they'd figure out a way. Especially because it would be a weekend in Florida or somewhere else in the country. Some people, geez.

This! It's so ridiculous that people would not come b/c of their kids. It's unheard of!

a lot of weddings are no children (including mine) people just have to get over it. and as far as just acting like you don't know, that's not fair to you and FHs family I feel. children in the family should be the only exception to a no children rule. it's pretty rude that someone would demand their child be there.

I agree with all of you! I am just going to have to stick to my guns. There is one person who i feel bad for because she is a single mother, has no help, and lives in syracuse so i am thinking of maybe allowing her to bring her son...but other then that NO KIDS! Thanks guys!
