Kids at Bridal Shower?

Is this a norm or are kids usually not invited? Does the FG usually go?

i want to answer but my opinion and what my family does is REALLY different to everyone on this board. Usually most the showers I have gone to in my family had kids.. bridal party or not... but they are also all very well behaved. At non family showers I have gone to usually a few kids from the bridal party at most.

There is no reason not to have kids, unless you have a lot in your family... whats the difference,, its really up to you and who is giving the shower.

For my sister's shower we had the FG and a fiend of hers brough her daughter (both about 8 yrs old). They were ok, they had fun together and we gave them little jobs like , they had fun just collecting all of the bows for the bow bouquet and throwing away wrapping paper and stuff.

I had my flower girls at the wedding (both 3 years old) and they were great! They helped with the gifts and played around...

They had a blast.

I am only having 3. My future step-daughter (10yo and my Jr. BM), my Fg (3yo and my FI niece) and my cousin (10yo - not in the wedding).

I just had my FG and my Mom didn't want any other children. She said it was my day and kids sometimes take away from that

My FG will definately be there but that it on the kids. My nephews are staying with the babysitter

that was a huge fight between my mom and the inlaws. My mom wants my stepniece (8)there, but MOH was planning some risque games and stuff (not my kinda thing, so sorta annoyed she would do that) so there was a battle.
My niece WILL be coming... but MOH/FSIL is annoyed with that. Oh well...
Honestly, my aunt will be more offended by the stuff possibly planned than my niece!!! (shes a big prude)

I am not having any kids at my shower. My niece (who is 13) will be the only kid there. I have been to showers where the FG has been there and some where the FG has not.
