Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I am not having kids at my reception for a few reasons:
1. $$$ 2. I want their parents to be able to have a good time. 3. Just because

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
This is a very touchy subject for FH and I. I am against children at the wedding because it is more money and there are too many parents who don't watch their children. I also want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves and have a night out without the 'kids.' FH wants 'all his family' there including children . I am considering hiring a babysitter to stay at the hotel with the kids so they can play. I'm sure they will have more fun there than at the wedding.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I am having my nieces and nephews and my cousins kids. My cousins kids are all bigger now, like teenagers and in their 20's. So it's not like they're babies. I'm not allowing any of my friends to bring their kids bc I don't want small kids there.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I completely understand the adults only thing. It really depends on your family....on my side that was fine, but on my husband's side, there was no way people would come without their kids.
We invited kids in the family only (ie no friend's kids)...it ended up being ten kids total that came, and all were about $25.oo each (most halls charge less for kids and those under 2 are sometimes free!). At the wedding, I can honestly say it was a non-issue, from my point of view anyway. The kids were all well behaved and some even danced and made it fun for the grownups. I gave each kid a goodie bag with crap from the dollar store as a 'just in case' to prevent meldowns. Most didn't even get to it, but I know some parents held it over their heads as a threat/reward for good behavior.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
The only kids in my reception will be the flower girl and 2 ring bearer. Everyone else has to be 21 or older. Whether they like it or not, thats the way it will be.

Nope adult only reception. The people who had a problem can stay home. That was my attitude.
