Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I don't want kids at my wedding. I just see a wedding as adult fun party time lol. not kids running around or playing. plus everyone always has more fun when they don't have their kids. my cousin's wedding there were no kids and everyone really partied and had so much fun. wouldn't have been the same if kids were asking to go home or bored, etc. just my opinion of things.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I am having my 10 neices and nephews aged 2-10. They are very important to me and I want them there... and one family friend's son who is 4. He is also like family...so 11 kids total. I understand most people don't want them for various reasons...For me, I opted for a smaller head count to accomodate them... and they are half price at my venue. Do what you both want to do...Ignore all the people who will comment, because, I know they will...

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
Nope adult only reception. The people who had a problem can stay home. That was my attitude.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I'm not. Im having an evening wedding, its not a place for kids IMO. I would have considered my FG's and RB but their parents all said they would rather not bring them so they could have a good time.
It is going to cause people to be upset, but really its a lot of money for chicken nuggets, french fries and for them to fall asleep.

Only the members of the BP. Aside from that, we have a 16 year old. No biggie. No one else has kids

The only children we are having are our 3 cousins, who are also our 2 FG's and RB- they will be 4, 6, and 7 at the time of the wedding.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
nope no kids here except for our own. I am hiring a babysitter to stay with the kids at the hotel while their parents at at the wedding. The parents welcomed the idea and wanted a night out to have fun without the kids. The kids wouldnt last anyway. my ceremony starts at 8pm

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
We only invited first cousins as far as family goes so none of the cousins children were there...the youngest person we had at our wedding was 12

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I am caught in the middle....I am against having children at our wedding. My venue is not offering great prices for children. Unfortunately I am going to have to write 'Adult Reception' on my invites (because we KNOW our family, they will assume kids are invited) HOWEVER we are allowing OOT guests bring their children (without telling everyone of course)
My belief is children do not belong at weddings...but that is just my own opinion.

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I am not having them b/c it adds up in terms of guest. (even tho they cost way less than adults) and I recently went to a friend's wedding where the kids overtook the dance floor. I kept having to watch where I was going for fear of stepping on a kid. I dont' want to be bothered..many adults I know of don't watch their own kids and let them do whatever they want

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
I've inviting all the kids in my family. If they all come, there will be 9 kids under 13 years old.
Other than that, we have a decent amount of 'teens' in that 13-20 range. Probably about 15 cousins in that range.
I didn't think I wanted kids there, but I can't imagine having my wedding without my little cousins or my cousins' kids, so c'est la vie!

Re: Kids at the Wedding?
The only children that will really be at the wedding are our FG and RB and then 2 others that are from OOT.
