Kids at the wedding

Original post by chrissie0121

So I have been going back a forth about if I should invite my younger cousins and I just don't know. Is anyone inviting kids to their wedding?

The youngest kid at our wedding will be 12...since I am only 21 myself and am the oldest of my siblings & cousins, there's a lot of under 21's. But, I'm trying to be pretty strict on little little kids. My own daughter(FG) who will be a little over 3 at the time won't even be attending the reception, so I'm hoping that everyone else will assume (or hear by word of mouth) that little kids are not allowed.

We're only having our RB (who is my youngest cousin - he'll be 5) our two FG's (who will both be 4) and our Jr. BM (who will be 10). Otherwise, no children are invited.

The youngest kid we're having is my 10 year old niece, and other than her and her siblings, there won't be any 'young ones' around. She's a very mature 10 year old.

FH's cousin has 3 young children, and we we very relieved when she said she found a babysitter and was looking forward to 'a night away.' She brought those same kids (well there were 2 at the time) to another cousin's wedding, and the MOG was PISSED.

Children have their place, and it's not at a wedding!

We're having kids at our wedding. We'll have 3 that are under 2 years old (my nieces and nephew).
We have some young teens as well.

At first I said no kids at my wedding... But then I changed it, I am going to allow only the kids in my bridal party to attend the reception...

No kids for us! We're not even allowing our 8 nephews and nieces! They're all under the age of 8, and it's a night wedding, and we don't want anything to disrupt the party atmosphere! Besides, we want our sibs to get to enjoy themselves kid-free! They've all expressed gratitude for this.
