Kids corner

Hello, has anyone had a kids' corner or is thinking about having one?? i am since I'll be having a lot of children there..

any ideas? recommendations? TIA!!

We're not having a kids corner or table b/c the youngest person we know is about 10 yrs old and there are only 3 under 13.

But..... I'm a 3rd grade teacher (8-9 yr olds) so...... how about a kids' table with a paper tablecloth that they can draw on, a basket of crayons (no markers unless they're Crayola Washables!) some coloring pages (you can print them free from crayola.com). If you're having girls, what about some costume jewelry, like those rubber bracelets, necklaces or hair toys that they can use for dress up. For boys, anything superhero related or something like Pokemon cards could work.

I'm thinking nothing with small parts that will spill on the dance floor and cause guests to slip and fall!

Also, I'd recommend getting the same thing for all the girls and the same for all the boys. Once each child gets something different, there will be fights. 'I want that! No, it's mine!'

How old are the kids? Are they sitting with their parents for the evening, and this kids' table will be off to the side where they can play? Or will the kids all be seated together to eat too?

Oriental Trading company has a ton of kids things too.
