Wow, thanks for the great idea. We are having kids at ours. The venue has a designated room to have the kids play it even includes a big screen tv with dvd player so maybe I will also bring movies.
I'm having the wedding and recpetion at a UU church and I'm rentng two sunday school rooms. One for the kids to watch TV and color and be kids and the other room is for the kids who wanna take a nap because my wedding is running late.

Re: Kids Idea
HAving same trouble. Except all my cousins are between the ages of 8 and 14. They all want to sit together. I know at 14, I was bored at weddings so I wanted to make it fun for them.

We are just having our FG so i packed a cute little bag for her for that day. I included juicepacks, cookies, pretzels, crayons, a coloring book, two books, and these little set of dolls. Just to keep her contant at the reception. I think after such a long day she will end up falling alseep early

Re: Kids Idea
I am giving them the picture scavenger hunt lists and lots of sugar. I basically keep bringing up ideas to the oldest one and my sister who is 13.
My 17 year old cousin was the one who suggested sitting them all together, which was odd. I think he knows how much trouble they can all get into at once.
Little sister loved the scavenger hunt idea. And her and her friend loved the candy idea better than the regular favor which was a CD. I think the scavanger hunt should keep them occupied for a while. I get pictures that I wanted, and they get a prize if they get all of them (probably movie passes).
I can't imagine them sitting there for that long other than eating anyway.

Re: Kids Idea
For the Engagement Party we are doing a beach theme. I have pails and shovels, candy, coloring books, crayons, bubbles and word search. With that and the DJ, the 30 kids should be happy, right?
