kids say the darndest things...

i scanned a mass mailing sent to me by my hall and used it for a proofreading exercise in my 7th grade classes, so i was making a point with them about how much money this vendor is getting from us and the level of professionalism that people expect in business relationships...blah blah blah. here's the conversation that ensued:

student: Why don't you just have it at your house?
me: I live in apartment, which is much too small for a wedding.
student: Yeah, but can't you just have like your grandparents and order some pizza?

many of the kids seemed to think this was a good idea.

it sound a lot cheaper... and besides you know how many pizza and ice cream you can buy with the amount of money we are paying at RH

haha that is a good idea! thats what all us brides should do.. have it at our grandparents and order some pizza!

hahaha... my seventh graders think they are all COMING to the wedding and were baffled when I told them that they would be in high school by the time I got married!!!
