Kids today are Greedy!

When I was a kid and went Trick or Treating and people would hand out the bowl for us to pick out our own candy I always took only 1! ( i mean when they are standing there when they leave the bowl unattended that was a different story) I just did this and this kid took like 6. My DH said some kid took 3 before!

Kristin, at least you are getting Trick or Treaters -- we decorated the whole vestibule to the building and bought loads of candy and ZILCHO!

none for me either! I live on a cul-de-sac full of children and not 1 trick or treater. HMMMM

What am I going to do with all this candy?

I went over to FH's since he has quite a few kids in his apartment complex and not a one! I even drove through a neighborhood w/ kids and didn't see one trick-or-treater - where are they!?!?

I don't let kids pick their own candy b/c they are WAY bad... we went through 6 bags of candy and it still wasn't enough- I just shut down shop

My aunt was over here before, and we have had zero, but she said she HAD to get out of her complex because there were VANS dropping kids off in her development!

Can you imagine? I thought she was exaggerating, but she swears there were at least four or five vans LOADED with kids!

I live in a condo, so we're getting them in dribs and drabs...

BUT, what's bugging the HECK out of me is when they ring the doorbells all at once and then run up and down the street while I stand here waiting for them to come back...

this one little girl was too lazy to walk up the 2 steps and come get the candy from me. I was barefoot, so I didn't go after her...and she walked away!!!

We've had about 30 kids so far today. We haven't had any though in probably an hour or so. The weird thing we have had though is parents coming dressed up as well with a bag or pumpkin for there own candy.

i let kids pick what they wanted last year and i went through like 4 bags of candy in a short amount of time and we ran out so my mom this year i hand them out

I live on a busy street, I have 10 bags and my husband had to go out and get more.
Some kids are not even dressed up.I said to some of them, shouldn't you have a costume.They just said no we want the free candy. Kids these days..

We had a few of those and a few parents with their own bags. Halloween surely has changed from what I remember.

Our neighbor told us that we get tons of kids on our block, we had hardly any. I am wondering since there is a school on the next block would it have been more if it were a week day.

I took my son trick or treating in howard beach today.. there were TUNS of kids all day.. my sister bought 6 huge bags of candy and was afraid it wasnt enough!

We went through a TON of candy.

Normally we let my FH's sister hand it out, but our beagle goes beserk everytime the doorbell rings. So, we left a big bowl of candy on the porch. My FH said for the most part kids were good and only took a couple of pieces, but then a bunch of junior high kids came along and cleaned us out. I actually went out last night to buy more and the store only had Christmas candy...all the Halloween stuff was sold out.

I made the bags cause last yr I did that where they grab and I was out of candy in no time.

Yeah this one little POS - I gave him two baggies and some candy besides and he's standing there saying 'That's it?!?'.

Another little ba$tard walked up (my dogs were with my husband outside at MichelleW's) and started trying to kick the dogs!!!

While the mother is standing there no less!!!

My boys went out and my little one would go first say he is getting for his big brother. then my older boy would say I am getting for my younger brotehr mean while I was walking with two bags so they can dump their stuff in it. My kids were so greedy yesterday. and I take half of it away from them anyway. (For myself)
