Kill Me NOW!

Kill Me NOW!

Okay, so some of you remember me. I'm the girl that was having so much FMIL trouble. Well, here it comes again. At first, my FMIL wasn't going to allow my FH's sister to be in the wedding because she couldn't afford to buy her a 100 dollar dress. Well, here it is... 38 days until my wedding and she decides to throw a guilt trip on us because my FH's sister is upset because now she wants to be in the wedding. There are no dresses in papaya that can be here in time. The only one they can get here in time is one in butter (my accent color). Well, I don't want her to wear butter because noone else is wearing butter. If I don't allow her to be in the BP, my FMIL will hold this over my head for the rest of my life. I hhave cried off and on since my FH told me all this last night around 9. This is supposed to be the happiest time of my life and I'm miserable. I don't even want to get married anymore. Am I the only that thinks that this is my wedding day and I've planned this day for my whole life and I don't want a junior bridesmaid to wear a completely different color. Below are the pics.
#1 Bridesmaids Dress
#2 Flower Girl Dress
#3 Butter Color

Can you check Ebay or different websites for the dress in the right color? Have you tried alternate vendors? I know this isn't the ideal situation. Best of luck!

Just tell her it's impossible to get a dress in time. Seriously, that's not fair.

well, I don't think its fair what she is doing, but on the other hand, i think it would be fine for the jr. BM to wear the other color. My MOH is wearing a different color from the BMs and I think it will look really nice. You said she is a jr. BM, right? It would be totally fine, and in the end is it worth it to have her 'hold it over your head for the rest of your life?'

I think it will be fine, you can always interpret the color of her gown with your flowers. I heard of a few weddings where the JR. BM's color is different than the BM's. Its not fair your FMIL is pulling this on you with less than 40 days before your wedding. I would still let her know how you truly feel. This is yours and FH's day. Good luck with your decision.

I don't think it would be that big of a deal if she hadn't already made a lot of things such a major ordeal. She has tried since day one to make me miserable. I don't understand why this woman hates me so much.

honestly i wouldnt be cool with having a different colour like that, but that is JMO. i dont think they match. but to have you FMIL hold it over your head for the rest of your life would be something i wouldnt want either.

try gownfind or netbride or something to find the matching colour. can she get a different style in that colour?

good luck.

ETA- when i say dont match i mean butter is fine for an accent colour, but to have 2 main colours like that i dont think it goes.

I agree, I don't think I would want that

I don't want that. At all, but it looks like that's what I'm going to have to have.

Is FSIL the only Jr. BM? If so, I think it would be a great idea to have her in a different color. That's just my personal opinion but I think that would look really good.

Yeah, she is. I really don't think it's the fact that she's going to look different, it's the fact that my FMIL is getting what she wants. And, that pisses me off so damn bad. Excuse my language, but freakin' heck I'm so freakin' mad!

That's exactly what my mom said. lol. We've already talked to the crazy FMIL, so she is going to pick up the Jr. BM dress tomorrow.

And, yes. He's home now. Thanks for remembering. How sweet.

Oh...I see. It sux that during your special time you have to worry about making other people happy. It is pretty selfish of her to pout about this now when she had the chance to make it happen. Sorry you have to go through this.

Im sorry that you have to go thru this, its just not fair. I don't think it will look bad if she is in the accent color.

Try David's Bridal or EBAY

Re: Kill Me NOW!

Try eBay, and RK bridal's no frills dresses. They send you the dress and you take it for alterations. Btw she is being completely irrational!

Re: Kill Me NOW!

Honestly, I would tell her that if SHE (FMIL) can find the dress that you want in YOUR color, then you would be more than happy to have the sister in your party.

Otherwise, I would tell her it is too short of a time will all the arrangments, etc.... for you to go crazy looking for a dress now.

I've been reading your posts and

FMIL =

Separate yourself from her as much as you can and do what YOU WANT. It is YOUR WEDDING, not hers.
