Kind of a silly question

So if you plan on carrying a hankie with you for the ceremony where are you putting it??

I carried a hankie as my 'something old'...I carried in the same hand as my bouquet for most of the day but right before the ceremony I stuff it in my bra!

I carried a hankie and when I started the bawling, I was so happy I had it. It was right there with my bo-k, remember also don't wipe...dab!!!

That's what I was thinking, but what if I need it during the ceremony if I get all teary-eyed? Nothing like ripping out a hankie from my cleavage during mass! I guess the best thing is to just carry it with my bo-k

See, I wouldn't be able to reach into my cleavage - if I put the hankie in my bra, it would fall right down! No cleavage to speak of!!

I'm LOL thinking about it - walking down the aisle and all of a sudden it looks like I laid an egg...but it's the hankie in the middle of the aisle!! Sorry, this just struck me as funny...long day!

I carried a hankie as my 'something old' and we pinned it to the inside dress at the bottom...

Marni you crack me up!!!!

I actually just got my grandmothers hankie (that's probably older then me) & I was planning on putting in my bra. But I think I'd prefer to hold it. I can just imagine years down the line seeing photos of me hunting for my hankie because I was bawling!!

Re: Kind of a silly question

I carried my deceased great-grandmother's hankie as my something old. This was a special way that I had her close to me on my wedding day, since she couldn't be there in the flesh.

My MOH tied it to my bouquet in case I needed it during the ceremony.

My hankie will be from my baptismal dress and will be my something old, I plan on holding it around my flowers.

debbie08 - I had the same kind of hankie. I had it in my purse and totally forgot to bring it with me for the ceremony.

When I am a BM I always stick tissues in my bouquet! works great!

Re: Kind of a silly question

I'll be carrying the my FI's grandmother's hankie. She says that all the women in her family have carried it down the aisle, though when I discussed this with some of the women, they had no idea what she was talking about! I hope she doesn't want me to carry the same 'hankie' that she stuffs in her shirt sleeve! Anyway, I am flattered she asked me to carry this 'mysterious' hankie and will carry it wrapped around my bouquet (unfortunately, my dress will not have sleeves, so I can't stuff it up there!)

Re: Kind of a silly question

I carried my hankie with my flowers. Apparently I was the only one up on the alter who had one, so we were passing it between me, my DH, MOH and the BM through out the ceremony. I know it's kind of gross, but it was also funny. I think my DH held it in his pocket for the most part. You should definitley have one handy though.
