Well.....we all just admitted to our outrageous wedding budgets...

I hope I'm not the only one who is hoping to make some of that money back from wedding gifts!
now dont get upset--I KNOW guests arent obligated to give gifts/money and I will be happy just if people show up....but come on....let's face it....we want to open up those cards and see GREEN!!!!

I'm hoping FH and I rake in about $10k

great post- hoping for 55K.

I have no idea what the average is so I don't know how much to expect...so just so that i'm not disappointed, i'm not anticipating anything....i'm just hoping everyone buys everything off of my registry (when I get one), i'd be very satisfied with that

My parents and FH parents are paying for some of the wedding so we're hoping we get at least what we put into it back

My family is from upstate so they may do gifts....I'm hoping for a few thousand....but I love gifts so it'll all work out!

Honestly, I don't care how much we make, the money is spent in my eyes, if we get some back, great but for me, that's not what it's about.

I just wanna have a party, an expensive party, but a party none the less.

I am not sure. But I do know that my brother spent in June of this year about 55K for about 150 people. They had it in the Fox Hollow. He made 22k and that was just enough to pay for the hall. Crazy I tell ya.

Not even coming near that. I want my house next year. YEA

although we're paying for the wedding ourselves, we did have to borrow some of those funds from FH's parents. if we get back enough to pay them back, i'd be more than happy.

we made $6k at our eparty, with half the guests. I'm going to guess about $15k

I have no clue what to expect but I do know that it is all going towards our down payment of a house. the the more $$$$ the better

We are hoping to break even.... our families are pretty generous so we're keeping our fingers crossed

not a big deal but were thinking 20k+ because my FH side has a HUGE family and he is the 1st child/son from his generation and thats BIG for asian people lOL

we totally did not care about the $$ we got back--cause really our families are uber ghetto fab--lol we were the first one to even HAVE a real wedding...so we knew most wouldn't give much. we just wanted a great party that they would remember!

i can say that after all was said and done--DH and i received less than 1/3 of the amount we spent on it.
