Kind of freaking out...

Hi girls-

It's been so long since I've posted but life has been a bit hectic. Got a new job and moved and adjusting to everything has taken a toll on my nerves and time haha.

My wedding is in January and I feel like there is tons of stuff to do and I am so behind!!

So far we have: Date, hall, photographer, DJ, dress. Which I know are some of the biggies. But we still need....

Flowers, bridesmaid dresses, honeymoon, invites, favors, hair, makeup, officiant, tuxes, presents for BP and parents....and all of the million other little details in between. Every time I look at the list I get so overwhelmed!

I hope I don't sound like a crazy whiner, but I am super stressed that we won't get it all done.

Basically I needed to get this off my chest since I don't want to place this burden on anyone else and let them know I am freaking out and I know everyone here has been through it before.

I just don't know what to do next! I am probably being over dramatic here, but it is just overwhelming me at the moment.

I'd focus on bridesmaid dresses, flowers, and invites next. Invitations can definitely take longer than you think, especially if you need to look at a few places, etc.

Dresses can also take longer than expected to arrive

Then flowers, just in terms of booking someone....you can worry about the details of it all later

Have you started looking at all on those 3?

First thing I would do is find an officiant.

Secondly, I would start looking around for flowers, pick 3 places get some price quotes and start looking at some sample CP's.

Well bridesmaid dresses usually take about 3 months so i would start looking for that now.

Hair and MU can be done soon as well. Everything else can be done 2 months in advance. IMO.
I think you still have plenty of time don't freak out.

Try not to look at the list as a whole...break it up for yourself and make a couple of smaller lists. Start with the rest of the big stuff, and only put 5 things on each list, I usually work on one or two things at a time and don't move onto the rest until those are done, otherwise its too overwhelming. Make yourself a timeline...bridesmaid dresses take 4-6 months depending where you go and what you get so that you might want to put on your first or second mini list. I'm working on invites now because they take a while to order and I'm sending them out at least 2 months prior.
Don't stress yourself out or look at any crazy long list of to do's bc if you're anything like me it'll make you not want to do any of it and procrastinate some more
You still have plenty time, take it day by day

Take your list of things to do and focus on one at a time. I have been doing this and I obsess on that task until it is complete.

Have an appt. for bridesmaid dresses next Saturday so hopefully we can get that squared away!

An officiant is tougher since we may need 2. FH is Catholic so we need a priest and then I am kind of nothing official so a justice of the peace or a pastor will be good as well.

I am looking at flower websites as I write this lols.

The advice of a small list of just 2 things at a time is great advice! I will work on keeping the lists small and focus on them until they get accomplished.

Take a deep breath! You will definitely be able to get everything done before your big day! I would start by making a list of what you think is most important/pressing and go from there. I would probably start with the officiant first.
