FH and I were talking about having babies today :) I know my biological clock is ticking because everytime I see a baby my heart melts a little and I can't help but think that I can't wait untill we have one of our own. We even have names picked out lol. But we are planing to wait at least one year after we get married so we can have a house and be somewhat settled before the little one arrives. But part of me doesn't want to wait that long. BUt I don't want it to be too much all at once. I was just curious about what you ladies are planning arround baby making.

Am I the only one who is waiting for a VERY LONG TIME :) I will be 27 when I get married (HOLY CRAP i did not realize that). Honestly, we are in no rush and would love to spoil us as much as possible.. haha we are so selfish. We enjoy being an Aunt and Uncle for the meantime. Wow we are terrible lol

I hear you on this! I will be one week shy of 35 when we marry, and FH will be 31. He wants a kid ASAP but I have put a hold on it until we get a house. We have to sell BOTH of our co-op apartments, and the market is AWFULLLL right now.
I figure maybe start trying around our 1 yr anniv as long as we have moved into a house by then.
And btw, it's nice to meet another 'older' bride!
Your definitely not alone. I'll be 2 months shy of 35 as I walk down the isle.
Still debating kids but still have some time to figure it out

But we are in NO RUSH--- probably in 7 years!!!
We want to enjoy our marriage first--- a solid marriage= a strong family

FH and I have the same debate. FH will be 32 when we marry and I will be very close to 31. I have seen so many of my friends at work struggle to get pregnant so I'm afraid to wait too long if, God forbid, we have any problems. With my job, everything is timing as far as maternity leave goes! We are going to try on our honeymoon and if doesn't happen, then we will wait until the winter to start trying again.
One of my friends who I carpool with gave me very good advice- she said her and her husband kept waiting for things- waiting for a house, waiting for a promotion, waiting to have enough $ in the bank and then when they tried, they went through 3 1/2 years of invitro and trying before they had success. That wiped out everything they had worked for. So she told me- you will never be 100% ready- but you will always make it work. :)

While all other little girls were dreaming of their wedding day, I was dreaming of my first child!!! I just can't wait to have one, but FH would like a good year or two for just us...traveling, enjoying married life, etc. So, I will keep my word, but probably only one year!

It's good to hear I'm not alone, I sometimes worry that I will have trouble getting preggers which is why I don't want to wait too long. I just have to keep telling myself 'It'll be what it will be.' But i definitly want a house first!!!
