How are you guys dividing your time b/w yours and Fh's families for the holidays?

We spend the early afternoon with his family and the late afternoon with mine. It's easy for us though because his family eats at 1 and mine at 3 and we live only 10 minutes from each other.

We are not dividing holidays. We are splitting them up through the year. Personally I feel once I am at one place, I do not want to have to run out to go to the next place. My experience with that has always been a rushed visit. FHs family does not celebrate Christmas Eve so we will celebrate Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas day with his family always. Thanksgiving and Easter we will swicth off every year. We spent Easter with my family this year so Thanksgiving will be spent with his family. Next year we will switch. As for other holidays (fourth of July etc.) we will go with the flow. Whoever invites us first basically.

I am from LI and FH is from upstate so we rotate every other thanksgiving. Plus I am Jewish and he is Christian so we go to his fam for Easter and Xmas and mine for Chanukah, Passover, Rosh Hashana etc.
If the holidays are at the time same time we usually go upstate b.c he doesnt get to see his fam often then celebrate belated down here.
So far it's worked out ok but I'm sure it will be harder once we have kids.

Would love to but we can't since both FH and I have limited Vacation time. FH will be flying to PHilly and will be going up to NY with me to spend Christmas. NEW years we will be separated

we're switching off years for thanksgiving... this year is his family!
then, his family has christmas eve and mine has christmas day.... so that's not a problem!
we're hoping that once we have a house, we'll have both of our families over to solve the whole thanksgiving issue!

This is our first year back in NY so we are going to stop by my families house and then go to his for dinner. After that I think holidays will be a play it by ear and what we feel like doing

We're spending Thanksgiving daytime with my family who live right by us, then around 7 pm we'll drive the 2 hrs up to see his family and stay there till Sunday.

We are going to his aunt's house for dinner to see his family and then to my mom's house for dessert. Next year we will switch. I hate running around, but we want to see both of our families.
