The rest of the card is blank.
FILs think people will throw the card out if it doesnt have the lines on it.
I have received plenty of invitations with cards worded this wasy (no lines) and never thought to throw out the card...
Please tell me i am not crazy and i do not need to add the lines?

i don't have lines on mine, and never even considered it. my sister didn't have lines, and she had no issues with confused recipients.

i do invitations at my job and it is very traditional NOT to put lines. people are supposed to write you a little note. But not a lot of people know that these days and some are just plain lazy.
just make sure you number the back because people will definitely forget to put their names on it.

I guess I'm one of the stupid people, because if I saw that I'd be ..for sure and not know what to do with it. lol I'd probably write in the lines myself and send it back lol

Wish we could all do this. But I think you'd be surprised how few people would actually be allowed to come.
Save yourself the aggravation and just put the lines. Trust me, you don't need any extra stress around rsvp's. People **** enough as it is.
