so when me and the FH were stuffing our invites into the evelopes i stopped him and just simply asked...is there a certain way the invitation should be stuffed? and he was like it doesnt matter...and gave me a little bit of a tude for stopping him to make sure it was right..we just wound up stuffing them however! anywho the invites went out and people got them already! (yay)
I got a text from the FH right now that said who changed the spelling of nicoles name (his brothers fiance) so i reply i dunno why? he said it was spelt wrong on the invite. it was spelt nichole, instead of nicole. so my aunt did the caligraphy for our envelopes and um i dunno maybe she knows someone who spells their name that way and wrote it by accident! i mean what are you going to do the ivitation was already mailed and we didnt catch it before we sent it!
and he was all like you got mad cuz i was stuffing the evelopes wrong, but this isnt a big deal to you!
what does he want me to do now?! i kept asking if she was mad (and knowing her she prob really could care less it was a mistake!) not to mention my aunt did us a favor for free by writing out the enelopes...what am i going to do yell at her for messing up one name?

Dont stress... my aunt is remarried to a man named Al....for the last few years all we've ever called him is Al...so I assumed his name was Alfred (I dont know why, but I did)....it turns out his name is Albert....so I addressed the envelope to Mr. and Mrs. Alfred....
She called my father to tell him that I had made a mistake...I was mortified for like 2 seconds...but now I'm over it....

My cousin spells Nichole like that and she's so used to people writing Nicole. It's kind of a dead subject tell him to chill out, the invite's mailed, no one caught it and I'm sure she's used to it. I spell my name Chrissi rather than Chrissy and nearly no one EVER picks up on it (including friends I've had for 15 years!) and you just don't get offended about that stuff.

dont worry... this is just his way of getting on your case now... dont worry about the mistake... it happens... right before i sent mine out i realized my mom (who did the addressing) spelled my friends last name with an y instead of an i ... at that point, i wasnt going to ask her to rewrite it... it bothered me a litttle bit but its not something that someone is going to hold a grudge over ya know?

LOL its kinda cute, my FH does this sometimes cause he doesn't want to be the only screw up in the family. And he brings up examples of things that have nothing to do with each other. I just make a joke and he forgets the whole thing.

don't sweat the small stuff, seriously - you could go crazy.
I put the completely wrong name of one of my BM's boyfriends on the invitation and felt like a giant a-hole for like an hour and he busted my balls about it but it was clearly a mistake.

don't stress it... he will get over it. It's really not a big deal.
People I've known for years and years still spell my name 'in' instead of 'en' and I just deal with it. Most times I don't even notice.
He might be stressed about something else and using this as an excuse.. FH does stupid things like that all the time. :)

ugh, you know that would annoy me too!! mistakes like that happen and it's not a big deal. i'm sorry he was like that to you BUT... honestly maybe the wedding stress kinda gets to people sometimes..and it shows itself in ugly ways sometimes. but sheesh! i send you hugs!

oh please, dont stress over this.. I actually found out that we had a last name spelled wrong too.. it was missnig one letter.. I checked and double checked those things and I didnt catch.. your eyes play tricks on you when you stare at something so long.. you just see it spelled correct even though its not... dont worry about it at the end of the day nobody will remember

Thanks girls!! Seriously sometimes it feels that because FH knows I want to do everything in my power to make this wedding perfect he feels it necessary to point out when something isnt!!

I asked my step-father what my step-sister's fiance's last name is and he gave me a name that's sorta his last name, but not exactly. I never verified it and mailed out the invites. He told me the next day (before they got there) that he was wrong and gave me the right spelling, but it was too late! I called her (we've never talked on the phone before -- she lives in Chicago and our parents married when we were already adults and out of the houses) and apologized in advance and she said 'oh, don't worry about it!! Dan wouldn't have even noticed!' -- I still felt bad but it really didn't matter one iota.
I'm just going to make sure to spell it right on their escort table card.
