Kinda freaking out

Kinda freaking out

I'm on the verge of a breakdown ... I don't know what to do.

FH was married once before so to get our marriage license he needs a certificate of divorce. I was going through his divorce papers to find the information that is needed for the application for the divorce certificate and saw that his wedding date was July 23. Our wedding is July 24. Maybe I'm just crazy but that annoys me. So I called him and asked why he never told me that and he said he thought it was June. REALLY? How do you forget the day you were married...it wasn't like it was 40 years ago. I feel like this is going to annoy me so much. Like when we are rehearsing for our wedding, it was the same day he was getting married...ahhhh ... please tell me I'm over reacting or something bc I'm flipping out.

id be mad too - but in the grand scheme of things- it wasnt that important to him because he obviously didnt remember.. FH only remembered his previous wedding date (3/16) because of wrestling guy Stone Cold 3:16... Don't get me wrong, I put their wedding song on our do not play list, but if it was a day or two after or before, no big deal.. she wasnt that important to him.. thats why shes an EX

I'd be upset to. I think you have a right to feel upset right now. He may have forgotten if it was a long time ago. I would talk to him about it, and ask why he never mentioned it. Maybe he just doesn't like to think about it, or to him its just not of importance. It is important the you feel ok with everything. Definitely talk to him.

Oh hon....he didn't remember...because it wasn't worth remembering.

I can understand your annoyance but your wedding date with be the beginning of his new life. I'm sure that date will be engrained in his soul!

i would be upset as well, but remember guys don't look t these things the same way and when he said that he thought it was June he probably isn't lying. My fh does this to me all the time. He is so terrible with remembering dates and stuff like that.

Thanks girls! I feel like if he said it was because it wasn't important, I wouldn't listen, but it's different when you girls say it. I really appreciate your feedback..it alwaysssss makes me feel better.

I imagine that I would feel the same way you do. And I would want someone to assure me that his ex is so far from his mind. Since their divorce he had a courtship with another woman (you), decided to marry her, shopped for a ring, saved for a ring, bought a ring, proposed, and is now planning a magnificent wedding with that wonderful woman. The fact that your wedding is the day after you can stand there that day and say: she was in the past!

I totally agree. I wouldn't let it bother you. There are so many more important things to think about right now. Sure, it's a stupid guy thing to do but it's not the end of the world.

My DH was married before as well. His wedding date was May 2nd and turned out we booked January 2nd. That kind of p i s s e d me off 2. But it's really no big deal. Everyone has a past, and what matters now is your future with him.

2010 bride crashing..

i would be upset to but is it possible that he really did forget and think it was June? (since both start with a J?).

My fh was married before and I was more concerned with the colors and the songs then the date....fh never forgets his date because thay were married and divorced on the same day! 3 years apart crazy right? Don't sweat it...

aww! I understand why this would be upsetting to you! But she IS an ex and this is a new wedding and a brand new start for him. The old date is insignificant to him so hopefully it will be to you too

I wouldn't worry about it - it's his past and it is obviously not worth remembering. My ex couldn't even remember our wedding date when we were married!

WOW.. How can he do that to you!! I'd be sooo upset, too.... Men sometimes don't think stuff matters much.. Just try and talk things out and find a solution for the uncomfortness..

Re: Kinda freaking out

that would probably annoy me too but try not to worry about it. Obviously he didn't even think about it.

And on the bright side, at least it's a day after and not the SAME day, right??

Awe, I'm sorry sweety. Try not to let it get you down. She is the past and the past is gone. He is yours now. Now and forever.
