In two weeks, my mother, sister, and FMIL are coming up (from LI) to go wedding dress shopping.
We moved here about 2 1/2 years ago and I really don't know that much about the wedding market up here. I am desperate for a LIW site here in boring MA.
With everyone coming up here the pressure is ON to not only find my wedding gown (wedding in 9 months at that point) but I only have 1 day to do it!!! And I don't know where to look!!!!!! ARGH

try looking on theknot.com and seeing what places they recommend, they usually have great recommendations.
trust me, i feel ya, i live in CT and its hard finding wedding stuff around here bc i don't know where to look.

Try checking the yellow pages in your area. Then do a review search for them to see which has the best reviews.

My FSIL lived in Boston at the time she was engaged and she got her dress from Priscilla.

This might be cheating a little but I would go to a few boutiques and stores ahead of time and narrow down the search. That way when they get up to Boston you can eliminate the places that stunk and the dresses you just hated. I would also call ahead any place you do want to take them so they can pull some dresses for you and have them ready when you get there.
