While my FH was driving yesterday, he asked me to text his friend to tell him that we're on our way and all of a sudden a text from his mom pops up and says the shower will be on May 10th. WELP, there goes that surprise! It's a little relieving because I am a control freak but I really wanted to be surprised!
Aww that's annoying! On the bright side you have the advantage of getting to be prepared for it. My shower isn't a surprise (which i sometimes feel bad about, I'm a control freak myself) but I dont know any of the details so at least all of that will be a surprise.
Hopefully you can stay in the dark about the details so that there's still an unexpected element to your day!

aww I'm sorry, that is a bummer. If it makes you feel any better my sister's surprise party was too much of a surprise lol she didn't exactly look prepared to see people. You'll look great and you can tell people 'oh I just threw this thing on' haha

you'll still be surprised so don't worry- between the games, place, and gifts you will still have plenty of surprises.. lots of people do creative gifts and things that are cute :)

I hear ya on the control freak thing, I'm going crazy because my mom said I was too involved and just told me to pick the date, the rest is up to her. I think it's better knowing the date at least. That way you can glam up and prepare yourself. It'll be awesome regardless! :)

My step mother texted me the Friday before that she couldn't come to the shower. I texted my sister to not tell me if it really was that weekend and my stepmother tried to cover it up but it was pretty much revealed. And it was one of the many weekends we were supposed to have a huge snowstorm. My poor bridal party was so stressed out and kept it a secret for so long. At least you have over a month to plan an outfit and practice your surprised face.
