Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
Re: Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
okay this is my opinion lol. you have to think of the reason why you would want to reface. depending on the company you use it might be cheaper to get a new cabinet installation instead. the laminate that they use just isnt the best and if the company you use doesnt hav ethis special machine that rolls the laminate out it doesnt always look smooth. this always depends on the condition of your old cabinets if there in bad shape the adhesive doesnt always stick and if the frame is bad by the time they re enforce it you better off with new cabinets. i can go on an don lol if you need mote info fm me. prices range from 3000 to one my company just did in manhattan fro 23 grand. i personally would never spend that much on reface but she though her old cabinets would be better made then newer ones.

I heard the same thing when I looked into it for us...turns out what I wanted wasn't to reface, I just wanted new cabinet doors...my cabinets are in good condition but I HATE the style doors on them. Once we get the doors DH can do the work!
Re: Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
i hate my cabinets so we are toying with thew idea but i think we will probaly go with new doors instead.....
Re: Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
if the doors are messed up your better off with new doors especially if you can get a matching stain . i just think the laminate for refacing just looks so terrible. they have to make better products to use for it. sometimes all it takes is a little paint ir stain a new countertop and hardware and your kitchen looks newer

Re: Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
Check Home Depot...see if anything matches that you like. They keep some doors in stock, but they aren't the best quality.
Re: Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
i know home depot stocks white mill pride cabinets but there not all that shiny

i dont think you will find a company that will do just the doors and if you do they will inflate the price to cover there labor. i would try sanded and repainting for now to mak ethem look presentable untill you will do the full remodel
