Kitchen 'Face-lift' UPDATED WITH PICS on pg 2

Well....my husband is away for 2 weeks and I decide to start our kitchen facelift by myself!!

Basically, what we are doing it painting the cabinets (inside and out) replacing all the hardware, painting the walls, putting up a chair rail, replacing the countertops, the sink, the light fixture and the floor!!

WOW...after I write it all down...it seems like alot!!

I took pictures of the before...I will post them when we get some work done!!

Think of me this weekend!!

good luck Lisa, I'm sure it is going to look awesome!!! I'm off to Florida tonight to work on the house there so we'll both be in home improvement mode!!!

Did you ever post any pics? I am thinking of doign a similar 'face-lift' in my new house hwne we move in.

I havent posted any yet but I will tonight.

Its coming along ok...slowly but ok!! I hope to have everything painted and oput back into place by early next week. Then we just need to do the backsplash and floor!!

the cabinets are getting repainted in white and the one wall is going to be sage green!!

Ohhh very nice. My friend painted her kitchen white....and got all white appliances, and painted her cabinets light sage.....

I bought polished nickel handles for the cabinets and drawers.

We still have to replace the floor and we are going to add a tile backsplash. I hope to get the walls painted by early next week!!
